Paws & Play Summer Camps
Summer camps sign ups are here!
We will have amazing animal centric camps for kids aged 6-11. With plenty of hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes shelter experiences, and time with our furry friends, these camps are perfect for kids who want to learn, help, and have fun doing it!
General Summer Camp Instructions:
- • Please bring a signed Youth Liability Agreement to the first day of camp.
- • Wear comfy outdoor clothes, sun protection and closed-toed shoes.
- • Bring a water bottle and a snack.
Camps for Ages 6-8:
*Must be 6-8 years old on the first day of camp.
Our young campers will learn the basics of safe animal handling and pet care, explore the value of volunteering, get creative with hands-on crafts and activities, and enjoy plenty of puppy and kitten snuggles.

- Camp Length: 2 Days
- Camp Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Camps for Ages 9-11:
*Must be 9-11 years old on the first day of camp.
Campers will dive into safe animal handling, basic pet care, and animal welfare while learning about nonprofit work, volunteering, and what it means to make a real impact in their community.

- Camp Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Junior Volunteers
We are looking forward to another great season of learning and helping shelter animals!
We are thrilled to have a dedicated Junior Volunteer Team at our shelter! These young volunteers play a vital role in daily shelter operations, assisting with cleaning, animal care, and basic training. Our program focuses on both service and fun. Each session includes 45 minutes of important shelter chores, followed by 45 minutes of hands-on time helping staff socialize and train our animals.
Please register your child based on their age as of the first day of the program. We’re so grateful for their energy, commitment, and compassion—they’re making a real difference!
Junior Volunteer Information:
Cost: $65, includes a volunteer T-Shirt!
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Group size: limited to 10 participants per session.
Requirements:

- • Please bring a youth waiver signed by parent or legal guardian on the first day: Youth Liability Agreement.
- • Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for cleaning and playing with animals.
- • Please bring a water bottle and layers for indoor and outdoor activities.
- • We’ll be staying busy caring for the animals. We understand cell phones can be useful for quick photos or family check-ins, we ask that volunteers limit non-essential screen time during the program.
