Donating stock to Cache Humane can benefit both you and the animals in our care. By giving stock you’ve held for over a year, you may avoid capital gains taxes and receive a deduction based on the stock’s full market value on the donation date. Please discuss the deductibility with your tax professional.
The proceeds from your donation will stay here in Cache Valley and will directly support the care of our animals.

Gifting Through Your Will or Trust:
Including a gift to Cache Humane in your will or trust will leave a legacy of generosity and love for our animal friends. You can specify a dollar amount, an asset like real estate or stock, or a percentage of an account.
Your gift will stay in Cache Valley and will help us save lives. If your circumstances change, you can update or revoke your gift at any time.
Types of Gifts:
- • Specified Gift: Designate a specific dollar amount or percentage of a bank, brokerage, or investment/retirement account. We are also able to accept real property or named personal items. Property and items will likely be liquidated to support immediate shelter operations.
- • Contingent Gift: This gift takes effect under certain conditions. For example, gifts may be contingent upon the status of other named beneficiaries or the continuation of existing programs at Cache Humane such as our Community Spay/Neuter Clinic.
