Junior Volunteers
Our Junior Volunteer Team is Back!
We are thrilled to have a dedicated Junior Volunteer Team who play a vital role at our shelter. These young volunteers help with shelter maintenance, animal care, and training. This program balances hard work with fun. Each session starts with 45 minutes of essential chores, followed by 45 minutes of assisting staff with socializing and training animals. Our Junior Volunteer Corps has grown this year, with each volunteer committing to one day of service per week for a 10-week session.
Please sign up according to the volunteer’s age on the first day of the trimester. We appreciate their hard work and enthusiasm in making a positive impact on our shelter!
Junior Volunteer Information:
Cost: $50 per trimester, includes Volunteer T-Shirt
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Group size: limited to 10 participants.
Requirements:
- • Youth waiver signed by parent or legal guardian: Youth Liability Waiver
- • Follow simple instructions
- • Wear Jr Volunteer T-shirt
- • Closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for cleaning and playing with animals
- • Water bottle
- • Ready to work, learn, and have fun!
- • Layers for outdoor conditions

First Trimester:
- • Tuesdays, Sep 10 – Nov 19
Second Trimester:
- • Tuesdays, Dec 3 – Feb 18
• No sessions on 12/24 & 12/31
- • Tuesdays, Dec 3 – Feb 18
Third Trimester:
- • Tuesdays, Mar 4 – May 20
• No sessions on 4/1 (CCSD Spring Break)

We will have amazing animal centric camps for kids aged 6-11. These fun camps feature interactive learning with shelter animals, arts and crafts, fun games and a t-shirt. To register for our camps click the buttons below!
General Summer Camp Instructions:

- • Please bring a signed Youth Liability Waiver to the first day of camp.
- • Wear comfy outdoor clothes and closed-toed shoes.
- • Bring a water bottle and a snack.
