Marion “Mair” Murray manages the Extension Integrated Pest Management Program at Utah State University as a plant pathologist. Her primary mission is to deliver high-quality and relevant outreach and research in sustainable plant pest management of fruits, vegetables, and landscape ornamentals to every Utah citizen. Prior to coming to Utah, she spent 10 years in public horticulture education and landscape management.
Mair grew up in North Carolina, caring for adopted cats and dogs, and currently has two brother kitties adopted from CHS. Her love of animals led to her fostering cats and volunteering for CHS for about five years. She got her “dog fix” every Saturday by helping staff clean kennels, do laundry, and caring for the dogs. Seeing the hard work of the staff, and seeing dogs get adopted, were some of the best experiences of her life.
Mair is proud to serve as a board member of CHS to help the organization achieve its best years yet in animal rescue and advocacy.
