Hourly Pay: $12.00+

General Summary: Cache Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter and
community spay/neuter clinic in Logan, Utah. We believe all companion animals
deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. We strive to provide a
welcoming, safe, and humane experience for all animals in our care.
Position Summary: We are looking to add compassionate individuals to our clinic
team! Our Clinic Assistants provide care to our shelter animals and assist in our
Community Spay/Neuter Clinic.


Our Clinic Assistants:
● treat all animals humanely, with compassion and concern
● follow current protocols to ensure that healthy and sanitary conditions are
maintained in throughout our facility
● perform basic health examinations, administer treatment regimens, and
administer vaccinations to shelter animals
● collaborate with the other team members and managers regarding clinic and
shelter operations
● maintain accurate and up-to-date patient histories on all animals that come
through the shelter
● assist in operating a high volume spay/neuter and vaccination clinic
● provide exceptional service to the public regarding animal health issues


Essential Skills and Experience:
● 1+ year(s) veterinary assistant experience and/or
● 1+ year(s) of animal care experience
● ability to communicate effectively with staff on a variety of levels
● experience providing exceptional public service
● basic level computer skills using standard office programs such as Word and
Excel


Preferred Skills and Experience
● Knowledge of domestic animals including breeds, behavior, appropriate care and
housing, common health problems, disease symptoms and handling techniques.
● Technical experience including delivery of IM and IV medication, catheterization,
and intubation.
● Experience maintaining a sanitary surgical environment.
Physical Requirements:
● Must stand, sit, walk, bend and stoop frequently to perform duties.
● Must have the ability to perform prolonged strenuous physical activity, including
lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone or up to 100 pounds
with the help of fellow employees for short distances.
● Must not be severely allergic to animals or chemicals used to sanitize facilities,
vehicles or equipment.


Schedule: We are looking for those with any availability on Mondays,
Thursdays, and rotating weekends– between 10 – 20 hours per week.
Some holidays and special events are required.
