More About Lisa Nish!

Lisa Nish currently teaches in the Cache County School District and is a member of the School Community Council. She has taught in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Nevada, and has been a student teacher mentor, peer tutor mentor, and department chair. Lisa graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis on technical writing and editing and a minor in Portuguese. Her first teaching job was teaching Portuguese at USU. She earned her teaching certification at the University of Utah and also holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Master of Education in Secondary Administration. 

Lisa has been involved in the Cache Humane Foster Program for the last eight years and adopted two of her former foster kittens. She has encouraged animal shelter education by having presenters from Cache Humane come to her classes and discuss the volunteer and summer youth programs with her students. Educating others on the importance of no-kill shelters and the services they provide is a top priority.
